We completely understand that buying Silk product is not an impulsive buy. Everyone needs to be sure and know how to take care of their silk product before investing on it. Need not to worry! We have got you covered…

WATER IS PRECIOUS.
WASH YOUR PRODUCTS ONLY WHEN IT’S NECESSARY.
Tips to Remember:
    • It is advisable to hand wash your handloom products for longevity.
    • Always use cold water to wash handlooms & handweaves.
    • Never put your handloom or handwoven clothes in a machine dryer.
    • Spot cleaning is advisable.

STEP 1 : SOAKING

  • Use mild detergent and cold water.
  • Do not soak your products for too long as it can shrink.
  • Wash the clothes maximum after 20 mins of soaking.

STEP 2 : RINSING

  • Rub the dirty areas gently with hand.
  • Never use a brush, scrub or a solid bar of soap directly on your products.
  • Remove the detergent completely by rinsing a few times in cold water.
  • Using diluted starch solution for the rinse give a crisp finish - Would not recommend it for Muga products, if you want it to be softer over time.

STEP 3 : DRYING

  • Hang to drip dry your handloom products in well ventilated evening settings.
  • Shade is also NOT a good option as direct sunlight causes colour fading and most of our products are organically dyed.

STEP 4 : IRONING

  • Iron your silks when still damp.
  • Spray water to dampen the fabric if completely dry.

STEP 5 : STORING

  • Store your fabric in cool or dry place with no direct sunlight.
  • Its advisable that you store your products in the package that we provide to last longevity
  • We bring authenticity and tradition to its packaging practices as well. Not only are they made from organic fabric, but they provide a reminder of our rooted identity.
